How do I reduce my tax bill?
If you believe your real estate assessment/tax bill is incorrect, you may be able to file an appeal with your local jurisdiction. Before an ad valorem assessment appeal, a property valuation can give you a sense of whether your assessment aligns with market conditions. If the new home valuation is higher than what comparable properties have sold for, then you may want to move forward with an appeal.
