Fairfax, formed in 1742, is the largest (by population) jurisdiction in Virginia with more than one million residents, and was the first county in the US to reach a six-figure household income. Fairfax is home to the headquarters of several intelligence agencies including the Central Intelligence Agency, National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, National Counterterrorism Center, and Office of the Director of National Intelligence as well as the headquarters of several aerospace manufacturing and defense industry giants. George Mason University is located here along with the headquarters of seven Fortune 500 companies.
The Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center, and Smithsonian National Air, and Space Museum is our favorite thing to do with the family. The exhibition areas comprise two large hangars, the 293,707sf Boeing Aviation Hangar and the 53,067sf James S. McDonnell Space Hangar. The Donald D. Engen Observation Tower provides a view of landing operations at adjacent Washington Dulles International Airport. The museum also contains an IMAX theater. A taxiway connects the museum to the airport. So much fun!
PREMIER PRO TIP – Fairfax County covers a large area from I-95 to the Potomac River with all types of housing styles and just as large of a value range as there is in the country. A seasoned and qualified Home Appraiser that covers Fairfax must be well-versed in all areas of residential valuations. One of the most affluent areas of the country is in Great Falls and McLean where it is not unusual to have home sales greater than 10 million. The larger mature lots allow for increased privacy while also having direct access to Washington, DC, Dulles Airport, and major roadways including 1-95, and I-66 and high-end shopping. Our home appraisals can help make the difference for your transaction.
If you have questions or would like to order an appraisal of property or appraisal of a home, we're here for you.
